Suggestions and help with my first build W/Mo
First of hello to everyone this is my first post. So I have looked through some builds on this site and decided what I want but not sure on all my skill and attirbutes. So far this is what I have thought of on skills.
[card]Sprint[/card] [card]Sever Artery[/card] [card]Gash[/card] [card]Final Thrust[/card] may change final thrust for a stance so I have 4 slots left I was thinking 1 to heal myself, 1 to heal allies, and 1 to resurrect. I do not know much about healing spells which I need suggestions for. Also not sure what my final attributes should look like. I only have Prophecies and a pve build

The rest of the skill bar should look like this[skill]Healing Signet[/skill][skill]"Watch YourSelf!"[/skill][skill]Mend Ailment[/skill]or[skill]Mending Touch[/skill][skill]Reserrect[/skill][skill]Rebirth[/skill]
Sword 12+1
Tactics10+1
Strength8+1 or 9+1
Protect 5
You don't heal your allies as you don't the ability to.You are a Warrior their jop is to do damage and to deal it out.You don't need any healing spells on you that is a Monks jop.

I'm going to assume this is PvE. Therefore Final Thrust is a bad idea. Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome skill, but in general skills that make you lose all adrenaline are a bad idea in PvE. I'm not sure what games you have, but I run my sword warrior like this:
[skill]Sever Artery[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Standing Slash[/skill][skill]Dragon Slash[/skill][skill]Flail[/skill][skill]Enraging Charge[/skill][skill]Mending Touch[/skill][skill]Resurrection Chant[/skill]
The attributes would be 12+1+3 Sword, 12+1 Strength, 3 Prot. Perhaps you could do a 9+1 Str 9+1 Tactics spread as well... generally I run a W/E with Conjure Frost instead of Mending Touch so I'd have 9 in water. Skill options for tactics would be [skill]Healing Signet[/skill] or [skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill].

hello foresightlost!
Welcome to the GWG Forums (unless you have been lurking in the shadows all this time, lol)! Glad to see you are starting to post.
I think what would help would be to state what campaigns of Guild Wars you own, and to reassure us that you are referring to PvE. This will help give others a clear idea of what you are trying to do and what suggestions parameters they can offer you.
I will wait until then to offer my suggestions.
cheers!

Ah, prophecies only. Well, since you have Final Thrust, i am also assuming you are out of pre-searing (the pretty version of ascalon ) Ok, so in terms of PvE, here are a few general tips.
- Warriors are the best frontline profession available due to their high armor, defensive buffing skills and melee attacks.
- The focus should be kept on those previous things, therefore skills to directly heal others is not necessary or effective especially since a warrior has so little energy. They generally focus on adrenaline skills.
That in mind a good template for general PvE warriors is as follows:
Attack Skill
Attack Skill
Attack Skill
Attack Skill
Utility Skill
Utility Skill
Self Heal
Ressurection Skill
Of course, this model always changes but is a good rough idea of where to start. Utility refers to any skills that buff your armor, buff the party armor, enhance your running speed, snares your enemy, interrupts the enemy action, Increased Attack Speed (IAS) and so on and so forth.
Assuming you are not very far in the game and want to continue using a sword, i will leave the Elite skill choices open.
Here are a couple descent builds you can try and modify to your liking::
[skill]Sever Artery[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Galrath Slash[/skill][skill]Seeking Blade[/skill][skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]Healing Signet[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
[skill]Sever Artery[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Galrath Slash[/skill][skill]Thrill of Victory[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]"To the Limit!"[/skill][skill]Endure Pain[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
**Elites can replace any of the 8 skills according to what best fits**
Elite Choices: [skill]"Charge!"[/skill][skill]Battle Rage[/skill][skill]Gladiator's Defense[/skill][skill]Bull's Charge[/skill] **And much later in the game:: [skill]Hundred Blades[/skill]
When you start to learn what type of monsters are in what areas you will be able to change your build for such situations. The above are very basic builds that do not include many skills that would be applicable to certain situations. As you learn, you will be able to pick up on useful skills from your secondary professions that will aid you in many ways. A great place to look for builds is the Warrior Build List at the top of this forum section, or the PvX GuildWiki site (http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Main_Page).
I hope that i have given you some advice you can use, and hope you continue to enjoy Guild Wars!
cheers!

Personally swords in Prophecies is relatively weak. Axes and hammers are a far better choice since you have access to some of the best warrior elites like [skill]Devastating Hammer[/skill], [skill]Backbreaker[/skill], [skill]Eviscerate[/skill] and [skill]Cleave[/skill]
Though if you do want to stick with a sword then anything Batou said can work

Though it is worthy of note you will be nearly at the end of the game before most of those elites are available. However Axes, Swords, and Hammers all have their own niche in the game and in my opinion, every warrior should be prepared to use any of them.
If all you have is Prophecies, then I'd have to say that the most effective way to use W/Mo is a full Warrior bar with a hard resurrection skill like Rebirth. For a warrior, Healing Signet outclasses energy-intensive Healing Prayers skills... and frankly if you have a good monk around your much better off using the skill slot for something that reduces damage on you; such as Dolyak Signet, Armor of Earth, Physical Resistance, or any of the 75% blocking stances.
Also, don't bother trying to heal allies. It's a noble venture but you don't have the energy for it, you don't have the Divine Favor bonus, and you don't have the benefit of Monk runes on your armor. If you want to really help out your allies, look to shouts such as "Watch Yourself!" and "Shields Up!" Across the whole party, 20-24 armor and/or party-wide blocking prevents quite a lot of damage.

As for Prophecies Elites on a Sword Warrior.... Hundred Blades is a no-no unless you're running a Conjure, and even then it isn't too stellar. I'd personally switch into an axe or hammer warrior, but if that isn't an option I'd probably be running [skill]"Victory is Mine!"[/skill] or [skill]Battle Rage[/skill]. Hundred Blades is rather weak for an elite... it was originally a non-elite skill until people discovered the synergy with skills such as [skill]Illusionary Weaponry[/skill]. However if you have prophecies only, I'd recommend you take it with a Conjure.
Like this:
[skill]Sever Artery[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Hundred Blades[/skill][skill]Conjure Frost[/skill][skill]Frenzy[/skill][skill]Rush[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
Attributes: 12+1+3 Sword, 10 Water Magic, 8+1 Tactics, Rest in Strength (no rune needed).
Notes: Maintain Conjure Frost (or use Conjure Flame or Lightning.... it doesn't matter). Use Frenzy for the increased attack speed, and use Rush to cancel Frenzy if you come under focused fire. Use Sever Artery followed by Gash, then use Hundred Blades to recharge your adrenaline. You can spam "Watch Yourself!" using the Adrenaline gained from Hundred Blades.

What is wrong with what I said and sisnce it is Prophecies go mend ailment.resserect or rebirth? The OP just might want to stick to swords and that is fine is pve.You get the best sword skill in the game in Lion arch being final thrust a lot sooner than eviscrete.

The only thing wrong with what you posted is that Sprint isn't really necessary in PvE unless he's doing HM anytime soon... and he needs an IAS stance, since a warrior without IAS is a gimped warrior (ESPECIALLY if you use Final Thrust, which means you need to build up quite a bit of adrenaline all over again).
If you were desperate, change the build I posted above to add Final Thrust instead of Conjure Frost and Mend Ailment instead of "Watch Yourself!", along with a hard rez. Put the Tactics/Water points into Strength with leftovers in Prot.
Edit: I guess you'd be forced to take a short recharge defensive stance instead of Rush to cancel Frenzy (I'd take Deflect Arrows simply for the recharge time) since you're using Final Thrust.

The only reason I said sprint is because he already had it in there and I use it for running away if there is going to be a wipe.I run out and then come back and rebirth everyone.
